About MotheRetreat

We are about humanized maternity

For many years we have been studying, learning and collecting new and important information about childbirth; not only medical, but also psychological. We also study the birth and postpartum traditions of different cultures and different countries.

In our business, we rely on evidence-based medicine and international research; while also striving to maintain a respectful attitude towards the opinion and wish of the mother. We believe that she is the one who intuitively knows what is best for herself and her child. As such, we understand that this is all in the context of the uniqueness of the history of each woman. We strive to help each woman find her place, and to realize what exactly it is that she needs to smoothly transition into motherhood. Our goal is that all women feel satisfied and happy with their birth experience.

In this circle we are more than glad to open our space to new women that are beginning their journey.  Our idea is that everyone we work with  feels understood and comfortable  to open up among us, to be themselves, to express themselves, and to feel themselves.

Our main value is following and respecting the choices of each woman. We do not preach certain childbirth methods, the “correct” way to parent, or any rigid concepts. We are ready to accompany women during their birth, whatever they may be. Each birth is different and it is important for us to be flexible and ready for each unique experience.

My aim is that every mother feels grounded, nourished, empowered and ready to take on motherhood! I make sure that each woman that works with us is receiving physical and mental care both before and after birth, evidence based knowledge to make informed decisions, and one of one support from her village of professionals in the field during this transitional time.

As a mother myself, I know what it feels like to be pregnant, and to have the anxiety and fear of the unknown take over. I know the concerns about how to care for the life of a newborn child and how this new addition may change a family dynamic. I know the desire to want to be a perfect mother, and the fear of not knowing everything and wondering how I will ever learn it all. I understand all of these concerns, which are absolutely valid- and I want to take the weight of these worries off of your shoulders so that you are not going through this fragile time alone.

Birth Doula

Hi everyone. My name is Dasha. I am LMT (licensed massage therapist), CIMT (certified infant massage teacher), CLMT (certified pediatric massage therapist), also certified in prenatal and postnatal massages and infant massages. I speak fluently in Russian and English.

Since the beginning, I have always wanted to help new parents and finally I’ve found a great way. I created a 3 hour course where I teach you how to give massages to your kids with your own hands! In this course you will learn how to improve your baby’s health with massage in the safest way. I will teach you simple techniques so that you can learn to do the best job to support their health. Massage affects all systems of the human body: skeletal (reduces muscle tension and increases nutrient flow to bones), muscular (increases the flow of blood and nutrients to muscles, can increase or decrease muscle tone which helps with hypertonia or hypotonia), digestive (may relieve constipation /gas), respiratory by improving breathing pattern, and the nervous by relaxing and calming the baby.

Massage is one of the absolute best ways to connect with your baby, and enjoy a beautiful bonding experience together. Please join me to spread the love to all the kids around the world and show them what massage can do! Your baby’s health is in your own hands!

I have 10+ years of experience as a Doctor of Orthopedics, Osteopath, and  Doctor of Manual Therapy in Russia after graduating Medical University in Russia in 2007. In my work in Russia, I had lengthy experience with orthopedic and neurological problems in children and adults.

I also used painless and effective manual techniques on my patients to relieve neck pain, back pain, and restriction of movement in the joints. Some of these techniques included CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Muscle Energy Techniques.

My patients usually felt improvement after only 1 or 2 sessions. I have participated in several medical educational programs and practice in France, Monaco, Germany and the USA.

Birth & Postpartum Doula

I decided to become a doula after my own giving birth and postpartum experience. The doula that I have chosen during my first pregnancy made such a difference in my own process of becoming a mother along with my husband’s becoming a father. At that point I felt that I was able to make a similar difference for someone else.

Assisting at any types of births – home, birthing center, and hospitals – is extremely enjoyable. They are all unique, not only due to their location but also due to the experience they provide. It is also always educational for me, as birth evidence changes and evolves quite often. My job as a birth worker allows me to provide the support that parents and babies need to ease the transition into the wonderful life of parenthood.

Being a Birth/Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, and a Breastfeeding Counselor has brought so much fulfillment into my life. My biggest pursuit as a doula is to educate birthing families and also instill the confidence in them to be able to make decisions that fit best with their lifestyle.

Hello, my name is Natasha and I am a birth doula. I believe that motherhood is one of the most important steps in our life, and that much of our success is determined by those who accompany us on this path.

I wish that every woman can be in a place of peace and love during the birth of their baby, and that I can be of support and help to make this happen! Women need non-judgemental support, no matter how their birth was or their personal choices and beliefs about birth. This is why I choose to support all women, and respect their decisions, whether it is a c-section, natural, home birth, or hospital birth; I am here for you. Is there something that you are confused about or need help researching? Ask me and I’ll find the information you need and help you make a decision for any situation.

Who is in control of childbirth? Of course, a woman and her child! They work hard together to get an end result of baby being born, and both mother and baby safe and healthy. There is a huge importance of the belief in ourselves as women, and the strength of our body, as well as the understanding of the fundamentals of birth itself; which is why we make sure to thoroughly prepare the women we work with, while still in the prenatal stage.

The postpartum period is another very important time in a women’s transition into motherhood. You can count on my help 100% during this time! I am here to help with breastfeeding, body care, postpartum closing ceremony, postpartum belly binding, and much more. All of these things help to restore the mother’s vitality and let her property heal. Each mother needs special care and attention during postpartum, and that is what I want to provide for them.

I am grateful to mothers and families for allowing me to be present in their sacred spaces and to share with me their important and unforgettable periods of life.
